Bart Kemper, P.E. and Linda Cross, E.I. attended the ASME codes and standards meeting for Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy held in San Diego, CA.  Bart presented a forensic review of an oxygen chamber fire as part of the committee’s ongoing examination of best practices and potential liabilities.

The same week the voting for various subcommittee chairs was finalized. Bart was elected to be Chair of the Viewports subcommittee.  This is in addition to his being Vice-Chair for General Requirements.  Bart has been contributing his technical expertise in pressure vessels, structural design, complex loading, and finite element analysis for the past eight years.  Now he has been called to add his leadership and organizational skills as Chair.
