Novel coil design for Metalworks Corp

KES just finished a novel coil design for Metalworks Corporation of Baton Rouge, La. for Vitok Engineering.  KES has worked with Metalworks to engineer all sorts of pressure-rated coils, including jacketed coils, nested coils, and variable radii coils.  In this case,...

OCEAN SHOT: The Alexander research submersible

The KES team’s submission for the OCEAN SHOT has been accepted.  This is part of the UN DECADE OF THE OCEAN, which in turn is part of the US Ocean Decade sponsored by the National Academies of Science and Engineering. The “Ocean Shot” programs are...

Attending ASME IMECE virtually

COVID_19 protocols make the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Conference and Exposition purely virtual, but does not stop KES from exhibiting their continued research regarding marine and health care issues.

Design By Analysis for Glassy Polymers

KES is leading the development of a new “design by analysis” method for glassy polymers. The initial focus is for windows in pressure vessels for human occupancy (PVHOs) including submersibles, saturation diving, and medical hyperbaric treatment systems. However, a system that can provide a robust design for a life-critical structure can be readily adapted to other applications.
